Since 1964, Petersfield’s premier travel agency, Meon Valley Travel have been based at 32 High Street, where they have been organising the holidays and business travel for much of Petersfield and the surrounding areas. Meon Valley Travel are currently undergoing a dynamic expansion process and in doing so proprietor James Beagrie is demolishing the existing building to make way for new facilities. Its business as usual for Meon Valley Travel and all the staff are currently based at their temporary offices at 24 The Square until the building work is complete.
On Monday 26thMarch, James along with local builders, Aigncourt Contractors begin the redevelopment process. The plans for this project have been worked on taking nearly four years with the support and consultation of the local planning preservation and conservation authorities, Petersfield businesses, residents and local dignitaries. James and his team are extremely proud that on completion (due for November 1st) the new shop will further support the regeneration of the Southerly end of the High Street.
The original plans were designed to suit the existing character of the local street scene and personality of Petersfield town centre and market square. The building contractors were specifically chosen for their extensive experience in the conservation and preservation issues associated with Petersfield and the East Hampshire district.
With their continued success, Meon Valley Travel have just been appointed as a Preferred Partner to Kuoni, which will enable them to offer all clients preferential rates via this privileged relationship. A similar partnership has been won with British Airways allowing Meon to offer preferred air fares for the region for both long and short haul. These have been instrumental in some of the savings enjoyed by Meon Private Clients and Flight only bookers alike.
Meon are also promoting a new concept in dynamic package holidays, and ‘Triton Holidays’ are now available only at Meon Valley Travel in Petersfield. ‘Triton’ enables your holiday to be broken down into its many component parts from accommodation, flights, airport transfers and more, and by doing this Meon Valley Travel customers are able to benefit from savings of up to 15% on like for like holidays with other National Tour Operators.
A side of the business not widely known to Holiday travellers in the area is Meon Valleys’ world wide medical emergency service which supports the Insurance and Banking industries with 24 hour, 365 day a week emergency medical flight bookings.
